PDS launches JPDS interactive website

The Philippine Dermatological Society takes pride in being the only specialty society in Dermatology that is recognized by the Philippine Medical Association (PMA) and the Philippine College of Physicians (PCP). The Journal of the Philippine Dermatological Society (JPDS) has been conceptualized and launched last September 1992 and aims to provide recent advances in the diagnosis, management and treatment of skin diseases and share research output from the 11 dermatology-training institutions.

 

Gone were the days of retrieving valuable information by spending whole day at the library. Information nowadays can be readily available in just a swipe of a finger. In keeping up with this age of digital information, the Philippine Dermatological Society in cooperation with Parse Information Services and Consulting made this endeavor possible.

 

Among the advantages of the platform is that the journal can be easily accessed, articles are highly credible, citation of research works are more possible and offering of several research options. Outputs may be used for lectures and other forms of academic activities

 

The launching of the website was held last November 9, 2018 at EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Isla Ballroom.
